finally, we had our long awaited comm treat! every member of ATC does deserve e fair share of fine cuisine at merchant court, juz tt e variety for e buffet dinner is simply pathetic! but nonetheless, we still enjoyed ourselves after working like dogs for e past work year...
back 1 year ago, arrogant me went down to Can B for ODAC subcomm interview, not knowing its culture or anything tt they do, i juz believe tt i could fit in somehow, even when i din attend its FOC & stuff. till date, i din noe y my bosses, chong meng & grace took me in to e comm when all e rest of e comm members were either seniors or freshies who attended FOOT 06. haha lucky for me, ching, shu hong & denis did make effort to bring me in to e ATC family. my bosses are really a good pair, complimented each other, though ODAC did not provide me wif any other forms of activities other than meetings at semninar room 3, i still see meaning in attending each & every of e meeting. 1st task on hand den was to do Race Against Time (RAT) for e NTU population. haha. we really flawed like dogs for that. e participants reached e end point even b4 e log could set it up! wat a bad joke for e day, but tt was a good wake up call for all of us. till now i could still remember e tone chong meng used when he told us tt we failed totally! after e dec break, ATC soon comes to reality, peeps starts to leave e comm, wif every meeting, less & less appeared. erm... i dunno y, but my morale grew as e rest who chose to stay got closer. i could still feel e sense of excitement when i 1st step foot on Lor Halus. back den i got nothing in my mind but to make e race happen. i bet those who went there b4 felt tt too. prep stage was tough, real tough, we slave-drive ourselves to get to pasir ris every other day to do some shitty job. think back now, e process was nothing but sweet memories. as 10th june (race day) drew closer & closer, probs arise, probs solved, probs arise & we solve it again, there seems to be no end for e bad hic-ups. finally, day 0 (9th june) arrived, a day of crazy log movement, race day, sow of our gd efforts, post race, yet another day of crazy log movement. everyone was shag, nobody said much or sing praises tt it was a good well done. deep in our hearts, we knew we did well, put in all e efforts tt we could, given our diff level of commitment to e comm. ATC was a success.
seriously proud to tell others i'm part of ATC 07, wif e crew, chong meng & grace (SPO), huiqun (sec), charlotte (treas), denis, kelly, jayren, shu hong (LOGISTICS EXECUTIVE OFFICERS), meng heng kenneth, jeremy, sihan, lester (progs), lewis, jin rong, wei jian (biz mag), ching, kash, geok (pub), gera, meiling (ex. liaison). apart fr my own comm members, would really like to thank e 11th comm main commers like gary & sz who took part & helped in improving our route, others like zhen han, mark, tung & FOOs who did other forms of sai kang for us. too bad yr got no share to our treat! WAHAHAHAHAH!! c e pics, can ease yr hunger too!!
